River Hume | Managing Director

River brings a unique perspective as an entrepreneur, technologist, renewables/energy efficiency consultant and a holistic health practitioner. River manages the day-to-day sales activity and strategic positioning of the company. River has worked as an independent technology consultant for most of his life; has worked for Cooperative Community Energy, a solar buyer's Co-op based in San Rafael, designing and selling solar energy systems; for Cogent Energy, consulting on energy efficiency in large commercial buildings; and has served as a member of the Energy Advisory Committee to the Arcata City Council. River studied Computer Science and Music Composition at Dickinson College, and is a graduate of Heartwood Institute's Holistic Health Practitioner program. He recently returned to school part-time, and is currently a senior in the Environmental Resource Engineering program at Humboldt State University.
Allen Williams | Director of Technology

Allen is a Bachelor-level graduate of The Evergreen State College (Olympia, WA). He has been on the Internet since 1989, well before the Web, and has over a decade of web design and online community building experience. He has been an invaluable component in the early days of many start-ups, at least one of which has subsequently gone public. Allen is a full-time director and administrator for Sustainable Hosting, and he oversees the day-to-day technical operations as well as the strategic technical direction of the company.
Ryan Hollitz | Senior Support Manager

Ryan got hooked on Space Invaders back in the 80's and has been keenly interested in computers ever since. He has a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from the University of Oregon. Starting his love for Linux in 1997 and the first introduction to HTML in 1993, he has continued to support networking and server technologies. His love of the environment and of new
technology makes him a perfect fit for Sustainable Hosting.
Melinda Himel | Operations Manager

Melinda has extensive experience working in web hosting and development, developing websites and managing web development project teams for local small businesses, government organizations, and non-profits. She considers herself a problem-solver, with an interest in problems both large and small.
Bennett Malbon | Advisor

Bennett is an experienced technology manager and strategist with a successful record of leading growth and change programs in IT, Operations and Client Services. He has been a consultant for AT&T, NASA, The Weather Channel, Landmark Communications, Fuji Medical Systems, Altria and the Naval Surface Warfare Center. He has worked with numerous early stage startups including GreatBridge, Homebytes, Servus Robots and Curaspan. Bennett has most recently helped Curaspan grow from an idea to a top-100 healthcare IT company, and he currently works full-time there. Bennett holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Randolph-Macon College and is an MBA Candidate at Babson College's F.W. Olin School of Management.
